Olympic Solidarity Technical Course for Coaches – 2012, India


Judo Federation of India organized the Olympic Solidarity Technical Course for Indian Coaches from 4th to 8th November 2012 at Multi purpose Hall, Town Hall, Near Bhallah College, Haridwar, Uttarakhand.

Mr. Niel ADAMS MBE, Double Olympic Silver Medalist and World Champion, was the IJF Expert and 70 Coaches from all over India, attended the Course. Mr. Adams covered the following syllabus in the Course:

Long Term Athlete Development Programme (LTADP) & Making the transition .
Teaching the Gokyo , Importance of Flexibility , Use of Judogi in Throwing & Newaza . Kume-Kata – international styles , Preparation Training -Gym session
Skills  & Drills Training , Leading Randori Training . Mechanics & Variation of Newaza, Juji-Gatami & San-Gakyu .Creating a Progressive Lesson Planning.  Teaching Tactics . Training Tactics.

Judo Federation of India informed that, all the Coaches appraised the teaching methods of Mr. Adams, and they gained a lot from the Olympic Solidarity Technical Course.
